Valio is the most sustainable brand in Finland when Finnish consumers get to decide. This is the result of Scandinavia's largest brand study about sustainability, Sustainable Brand Index, which has been carried out for the fourth time in Finland this year.
”For us at Valio is important to work with sustainability at all levels in the company. It is equally important for us that our cows are feeling well, our milk quality is high as our packaging is made from environmentally friendly materials. That consumers have voted us as the most sustainable brand in Finland, is a proof of that our sustainability work gives effect”, says Pia Kontunen, SVP, Corporate Communications at Valio Finland.
Like last year, Valio claims the first place, and Fazer yet again claims the second place.
“We are not surprised to see that Valio claims the first place once again. Valio has a strong position in Finland and the consumers are well aware of how well sustainability permeates the entire company”, says Erik Hedén, Managing Director at Sustainable Brand Insight, the company behind the study.
The study Sustainable Brand Index was founded in 2011 in Sweden and launched in Norway, Denmark and Finland for the first time in 2013. This year 30 000 consumers were interviewed about their views on 750 brands.
