Ian Wright, perhaps best known for his travel programmes and the Lonely Planet guide, is now venturing into the world of bacteria in Valio’s new documentary
Perhaps best known for his travel programmes and Lonely Planet adventures, British presenter Ian Wright is now putting the strength of his immune system and Valio Gefilus® products to the test in Valio’s new documentary film ‘Ian Wright – Sisäisen voiman jäljillä’ [Ian Wright - The Lick-hiker’s Guide to inner strength].
The documentary explores the secret world of bacterium. Ian travels to Moscow and some of the dirtiest parts of Europe that really challenge the human intestine and immune system. He measures the bacteria content in different places and exposes himself to bacteria by licking dirty surfaces! At the same time, Ian tests out Valio Gefilus® products, which contain the world’s most researched lactic acid bacteria along with calcium and vitamin D. Calcium contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes and vitamin D contribute to the normal function of the immune system as part of a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
He discovers that the dirtiest spot is a surprisingly common part of our everyday life.
Ian Wright interviews researchers from a number of European countries who specialise in the gastrointestinal system and lactic acid bacterium. He meets Robert Jan Brummer, Seppo Salminen, Pentti Huovinen, Willem de Vos, Hania Szajewska and Minja Miettinen.
