Chicken Cordon Bleu Burger

Ingredients

  • Vegetable Oil, for grilling
  • 1½ lbs Ground Chicken Thigh Meat
  • 1 Medium Shallot, minced
  • Kosher Salt, to taste
  • 1 Freshly Ground Black Pepper, to taste

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 4 Hamburger Buns, split and lightly toasted
  • ½ Head Bibb or butter lettuce, leaves separated

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to 400°F and coat grates with oil. In large bowl, combine chicken and shallot and season with salt and pepper. Mix until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties.
  2. Grill for 5 minutes, flip and cook additional 5 to 7 minutes, until cooked through to internal temperature of 165°. With about 2 minutes remaining on cook time, add 2 slices of Swiss cheese and 2 slices of ham to each patty.
  3. Combine mayonnaise and Dijon mustard and spread on both cut sides of each bun. Layer on lettuce and burger patty with ham, and top with top bun.
