#  Valio is updating the composition and responsibilities of its Executive Board

”With this change, we want to increase agility so that we can respond more quickly to market and operating environment changes and to customer expectations,” explains CEO **Annikka Hurme**.

A key change is the centralisation of sales operations into a new business area. This will enable the more efficient development of uniform practices, processes and capabilities, and it will enable Valio to leverage sales expertise across business boundaries.

**Valio’s Executive Board and responsibility areas, effective 1.10.2025**

**Marianne Tammela, Executive Vice President, Milk-Based Businesses**

The business area includes the milk powder business, fresh products, cheeses, butter and spreads, and packaging development.

**Tuomas Salusjärvi, Executive Vice President, Expansion Businesses and Renewal**

The business area includes, among others, Valio Aimo, non-milk-based business, R&D, the subsidiaries Suomen Lantakaasu, Oddlygood and Profeel, as well as Climate and sustainable businesses.

**Timo Pajari, Executive Vice President, Sales and Commercial Operations**

Timo Pajari will start as a new member of the Executive Board. The business area includes all Valio sales operations: domestic and export sales to retailers, B-to-B customers and wholesalers, as well as the country organisations of Sweden, the Baltics, USA and China.

**Elli Siltala, Executive Vice President, Primary Production, Sustainability and Communications**

The new business area includes also public affairs.

**Ismo Nikkola, Executive Vice President, Business Enabling Functions**

The business area includes strategy, market intelligence, insight and innovations, brands, marketing, digital customer experience, and data and AI development.

The responsibility areas of the other Executive Board members, i.e. Operations, headed by **Juha Penttilä,** Finance, headed by **Jyri Virrantuomi**, and People, headed by **Katja Lindholm**, will remain unchanged.
