The President of Finland has awarded the title of Industrial Counsellor to Valio's long-term CEO Annikka Hurme. This title is awarded as a sign of public appreciation for the work done for the benefit of Finnish society. The most valuable of titles awarded by the President of Finland are the Counsellor of State and the Industrial Counsellor.
Annikka Hurme has a long and significant career in the Finnish food industry. Hurme has graduated with a Master’s Degree in Food Sciences from the University of Helsinki and has worked for Valio since 1989. She was appointed CEO of Valio Oy in October 2014.
Annikka Hurme is also a member of the Board of the Finnish Food Industry Federation and the Security of Supply Council. She has previously also been, among other things, the chairperson of the Finnish Food Industry Federation.
