Sustainability in production

Valio has product production in 12 municipalities around Finland. Valio also has two production plants in Estonia. Taking care of people and the environment, resource efficiency, and ensuring food safety and product quality are part of responsible operations at production plants and warehouses.

    Planned and carefully controlled production and the strong competence of our personnel enable the safe and high-quality production of our products. Our food safety and quality control systems are verified by a third party.

    Our goal is to develop environmentally smart packaging that prevents food waste. For example all of Valio’s gabled milk, sour milk, cream and yoghurt cartons are made from 100% renewable materials.
